Apply today to join a great team and receive a robust Totals Reward package!! **Responsibilities:** + Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients and their families, ensuring a comprehensive approach to health. + Obtain and interpret patient information while considering age-specific needs to provide tailored care. + Conduct interviews with patients to address healthcare concerns and offer necessary counseling, utilizing available resources and materials. + Administer medications and vaccines as ordered by the attending physician, staying updated on immunization requirements, flu vaccines, and allergy injections. + Oversee the sterilization of office equipment, manage stock supplies, and maintain accurate records of inventory. + Perform laboratory duties while ensuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations for safety and quality. + Identify and communicate patients' educational needs to their physician, providing teaching as requested to enhance patient understanding. + Assist physicians during patient examinations and perform specialized procedures, while maintaining competence through ongoing education and appropriate learning experiences. + Demonstrate a commitment to Service Excellence by understanding the needs of patients, families, physicians, and co-workers, and consistently delivering responsible, sensitive, accurate, and thorough care. Required: + Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program Preferred: + One-year clinical experience + Phlebotomy experience + EPIC experience **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hireMust complete licensure examination within FOUR MONTHS of hire or within one year of graduation, whichever comes first.? Though temporary permits are valid for one year from the date of graduation, not one year from issue of permit (or until the results of the examination are known at which time it becomes null and void), UPMC requires that GNs take the licensure examination within 4 months of their start date or they will be terminated or demoted from the GN position, at the discretion of the BU. + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP) *Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.
