Job Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst position acts as the primary liaison between business and Engineering & Technology stakeholders to provide innovative solutions to business objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for solving a range of stakeholder challenges, for projects, products, initiatives of high scope or complexity. The analyst will have expert knowledge and extensive experience in business analysis, across multiple types of projects. Demonstrates ownership of business analysis process for the enterprise by overseeing and ensuring compliance with industry and internal standards. The role is self-directed and is responsible for leading the analysis of complex, high profile enterprise-level strategies & roadmap development. In support of these strategies, this role has a high frequency of collaboration with business leadership (EVP, VP, Sr. Director).

Key Responsibilities:

Oversees analysis activity for teams, recommends optimum approach, provides guidance with respect to Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) industry trends, and Business Analysis and Product Owner practicesIdentifies and applies advanced elicitation and collaboration techniques with the enterprise to recommend, confirm, communicate, and manage delivered outcomesManages requirements life cycle by assessing and approving requirement details, traceability, prioritization, and changes to ensure alignment between enterprise needs and solutionsIdentifies and applies advanced analysis and modeling techniques by recommending, specifying, verifying, and validating requirements to support enterprise strategyEvaluates and recommends solutions by measuring and assessing limitations and effectiveness to ensure and increase delivered valueDefines or identifies operational KPIs that measure annual value realized for the business.Analyzes strategies by identifying current and future state needs, assessing risks, and collaborating with senior leadership to recommend a change strategy and define solution scopeGuides and mentors Business Analyst community in business domain knowledge and business analysis practiceDesigns & creates actionable deliverables at each stage of change. Including but limited to communication strategy, sponsor roadmaps, trainings, and resistance management plansCommunicates with internal stakeholders on change management strategy & presents on execution to stakeholdersCoordinates the organizational change efforts including the assignment of roles and responsibilities as it relates to change initiative efforts

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Highschool/GED, 4 years of experience Transportation/Logistics

AND/OR 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst role

AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:

Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peersKnowledge of the activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applicationsUnderstanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviorsAbility to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgmentKnowledge of techniques to successfully effect change in an organization and ability to manage the successful and smooth transition from current to desired culture, practices, structure, and overall organizational environmentKnowledge of technologies, techniques and practices for the evaluation of business performance data; ability to analyze business performance using advanced statistical methods to justify and drive future business planning decisionsThe ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Statistics or related field, or suitable combination of education, experience and training AND 5 years in a Business Analyst role3 years of both Brokerage and Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) industry experience and knowledge of best practices in LTL operations Certified Business Analysis Thought Leader (CBATL) - International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)2 years of knowledge and application of Agile Framework and Agile Product Development

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
