LUB Quality Compliance Analyst
For our future state-of-the art 600+ person Lubbock, TX cheese and whey manufacturing facility, Leprino is seeking a Quality Compliance Analyst. We take pride in our vision to be the "world's best." The plant will become operational in 2025 with Phase 1 and will become fully operational by 2026 with Phase 2! Summary Description: This position champions the plant Quality Execution Compliance initiatives and operates as the local subject matter expert in applicable food safety and quality policies, programs, and systems. Leads, teaches, and inspires passion in all plant employees for product quality, food safety, and plant housekeeping. + Proactively drive food safety and quality systems compliance in day-to-day operations in collaboration with QE and Plant Management. + Assure compliance of food safety programs and quality systems by leading full cycle food safety and quality systems compliance audits and partnering with Department Managers and Supervisors to implement effective corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence of compliance opportunities identified. + Champion plant Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) Program to ensure food safety and quality systems process improvements are documented to include root cause(s), corrective action(s), preventive action(s), and problem recurrence monitoring to know and be sure root cause(s) were effectively addressed. + Proactively seek out and leverage regulatory requirements knowledge to promote proper understanding and application of food safety and quality systems requirements, assuring plants compliance readiness for all internal and external audits. + Facilitate cross-functional systematic problem solving utilizing approaches appropriate to magnitude of opportunities (I.e. cause map, 5-Whys, 8 Disciplines, Cause and Effect Diagram, PDCA, etc.) that results in the implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions that continuously improve food safety and quality systems compliance. + Develop and implement food safety and quality systems education (i.e. Food Safety New Hire Orientation, Food Safety Newsletters, Food Safety & Quality Systems Refresher Training, Food Safety Topics, HACCP, SPC, etc.) and maintain current requisite certifications (i.e. HACCO, PCQI, SQF Practitioner, Intervnal Auditing, etc.). + Develop and report periodically on state of compliance for plant including key opportunities and areas for plant + Management focus to ensure proper plant compliance work prioritization and completion. + Develop and report compliance Key Performance Indicators that measure plant compliance performance and serve as a clear benchmark(s) for measuring compliance improvements. + Develop, implement, and drive a robust Document Control Program including Good Documentation Practices that assures timely and proper records completion and organization. + Manage and drive effective plant pest control program to safeguard plant environment from pest activity. Also, partner with corporate resources to ensure third party pest control service provider performs a high level of service quality and pricing and invoicing occurs properly and timely. + Drive proper Change Management techniques to effectively lead food safety and quality systems changes. + Audit preparation for third party, customer, internal audits. This includes records review and plant inspections with proper documentation. + Participate in third party, customer, internal audits by presenting information requested and driving CAPA items to resolution for any deficiencies noted in plant procedures. + Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct. + Maintain 5S standards and complete required master sanitation duties for role. Other accountabilities as given direction by QE supervisor and/or Manager. + This position is responsible and accountable to ensure product meets food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by following the Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and company policies. Minimum Qualifications & Experience: + Must be 18 years of age + Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in order to understand/adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), to communicate effectively with others, to complete required documentation both in written and electronic form, and to troubleshoot systems utilizing the English language. + Must have the ability to perform essential job functions + Must wear required personal protective equipment + Must comply with all applicable safety practices + Maintain a clean work area + Complete written reports + Perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations + Enter data into and pull data from computer systems + Must possess considerable problem-solving ability in dealing with equipment or troubleshooting when supervision is not readily available for consultation Preferred Qualifications & Experience: + 2 years of work experience in similar type positions + Experience in instrumentation operation and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment + Experience with computers and programs + Experience with aseptic technique and sample pulling + Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Offering you in return: A chance to be part of a global team of individuals passionate about producing and delivering high-quality products that help feed and nourish families around the world.
