Weyerhaeuser has a Lubrication Technician position available in our lumber manufacturing facility in Holden, LA. The Lubrication Technician is responsible for equipment lubrication, contamination control, inspection and proactive maintenance activities for all lubricated mechanical systems. A successful candidate will have lubrication experience, mechanical aptitude and be willing and eager to invest time and energy in training to gain the necessary skills and knowledge.

Key Functions

Follow all safety policies, processes and proceduresMaintain manufacturing equipment lubrication requirements, including regular greasing, oiling and oil changesFollow and optimize site lubrication schedule and continuously improve lubrication programUpdate scheduling systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activitiesCoordination of inventory and routine ordering of lubrication productsUse of tools and equipment for routine and non-routine lubrication functionsEnsure high standards of cleanliness of lubrication storage and dispensing equipmentReport mechanical issues identified during lubrication workMechanical modification of systems as directed to facilitate sampling and filtration, and other proactive improvementsInspect filters and breathers on reservoirsLabel and tag reservoirs, equipment, inventory and delivery containersSchedule, collect, label and mail samples for analysisReceive and evaluate oil analysis results for future planned maintenance; ensure follow-up actions are completed in timely mannerManage disposal of waste oil in accordance with environmental requirements
