Lubrication Specialist
Job Summary:

The Lubrication Specialist will report to the Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer.  He/she is responsible for using their technical skills, knowledge, and experience to complete lubrication related activities by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform routine lubrication routes including but not limited to visual inspections, taking oil samples, draining/flushing/refilling oil, re-greasing, and topping-off oil levels. Assist Reliability and Maintenance Engineers with identifying abnormal equipment conditions, troubleshooting, and performing minor servicing/repairs. Maintains equipment/work order records and inspection reports in SAP. Maintains inventories and orders supplies and lubricants associated with the Lubrication Building. Responsible for all upkeep of 5S related housekeeping activities associated with the Lubrication Building. Provides lubrication technical support for new equipment start-ups and existing equipment continued operation. Assist members of the Mechanical Maintenance Team in repairing equipment such as pumps, mixers, gearboxes, etc. Safely work both independently and around others while following all required procedures. Additional duties as assigned. Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:                          High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited school. Minimum 3 years of skilled industrial maintenance experience. Knowledge of the following: Equipment troubleshooting, rigging, forklift operation, rotating/stationary equipment repair and operation, millwrighting, pipefitting and layout, reading prints and diagrams. Strong organizational skills. Ability to wear SCBA\Respirator and other protective equipment as required. Good math skills (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication). Good communication skills (written, verbal, and listening). Good computer skills. Considered a Plus: Previous chemical plant experience or knowledge of chemical hazards. Formal technical/trade schools or certification. Interest in further education in condition based monitoring equipment (i.e. vibration, thermography, etc.). Working Conditions: Willing to work overtime including weekends, holidays and call-ins. Will be subject to extended periods of climbing ladders and stairways, sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, moving and lifting up to 100 pounds. Presence of nuisance odors from chemical processes, testing facilities, or laboratories. Many areas may be extremely noisy. Must be willing/able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
