**Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description** Join our team as a General Production Worker in a fast-paced, physically demanding lumber mill environment. Your primary duties will include taking wood off the machine, inspecting it for defects such as splits, cracks, rot, holes and then stacking it on a pallet. This role involves separating good product from the bad, and is characterized by a lot of repetitive movement, bending, twisting, and physical labour. You will be flipping boards all day, which can be strenuous on hands and wrists. **Hard Skills** + Ability to work quickly and stay focused + Experience in physical labor **Soft Skills** + Ability to work on feet all day + Comfortable with bending and twisting + Proactive in staying busy during downtime **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Spokane Valley, Washington. **Work Environment** You will be working in a sawmill that produces wood for pallet building companies. The environment is outdoors, under an open roof, offering cover but subject to seasonal weather conditions. It can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
