Are you passionate about luxury wine and spirits? Do you have a knack for building relationships and a talent for sales? We are seeking a dynamic and inclusive individual to lead our Luxury Wine & Spirits Sales. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving sales goals within top Fine Wine accounts, fostering brand advocacy, and orchestrating exceptional customer activation events.

 

You will play a key role in developing and nurturing relationships with key customers, ensuring they become avid supporters of our luxury brands. Your expertise will be crucial in creating and delivering instructional materials and training sessions for our sales force, empowering them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles. Additionally, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and facilitating special events, ranging from charity functions to social gatherings, aimed at promoting our luxury products.

 

Your responsibilities will also include providing on-the-job training for new sales representatives, offering coaching and development to those who need support in meeting their goals, and attending monthly District Manager meetings. Collaborating with Key Account Managers and District Sales Managers, you will address their developmental needs and support their efforts in driving luxury wine and spirits sales.

 

You will manage and distribute all necessary promotional materials, handle special projects related to wine education and brand promotion, and ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety regulations. What You Will Do: 

Leads Luxury Wine & Spirits Sales in top accounts for both channels. Achieves organizational sales goals identified across Fine Wine accounts. Establishes and builds relationships with key Luxury Wine & Spirits customers to establish brand advocacy. Executes customer activation events, luncheons, and dinners. Creates instructional materials and facilitates training and education for Sales force on Luxury Wine & Spirits courses. Conceptualizes and facilitates special events including, but not limited to, charity and social organization functions. Provides on-the-job training for new sales representatives in accordance with the Modular Training Program. Calls on Fine Wine account with Sales Representatives. Attends monthly District Manager meetings. Provides coaching and development for Sales Representatives & District Managers that are not on track to achieve Luxury Wine & Spirits goals. Supports Key Account Managers & District Sales Managers on Luxury Wine & Spirits developmental needs. Manages and distributes all GWSNJ shelf talkers and one sheets that incorporate any current award and accolade. Handles all special projects and events relating to wine education, Luxury Wine & Spirits brands and corporate relationship building. Distributes information and selling/presentation materials needed for Chain DM presentations. Trains, develops and executes 6th Standard Trainings for Distributor Management Team as well as Key Accounts across both Channels. Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance. What You Will Need: 

Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of wine sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of wine sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. 1 year management experience for a period of time that includes, but is not limited to, the Holiday periods. Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire. No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years and no DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years. Strong verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated skills leading, coaching and developing others. Strong time management, prioritization and project management skills. Resourceful, takes initiative, proactive, uses self-discipline and perseverance. Prioritizes workload to complete job duties under varied time constraints and maintains flexibility. and accuracy when changes and interruptions occur. Required to attend special events on weekends. Required to be at least 21 years of age. Required to lift and move 45-50 pound cases of product. Required to travel by air and car as a part of job duties. Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

 

 

What Will Set You Apart: 

Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of wine sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of wine sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. Wine sales experience in independent liquor store reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. Passed or in preparation to take the Certified Specialist of Wine exam or Sommelier Exam. Experience reading, understanding and evaluating administrative, sales and promotional materials, industry publications and account information. Skilled in the use of computer hardware and software including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Photoshop or Illustrator. Experience with event planning. Extensive knowledge of the Alcoholic Beverage Industry.

Compensation:

Hiring Salary Range Posted: $83,200.00 - $124,800.00 / Annually Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
