Responsibilities

The Staff LVN is a practitioner who demonstrates in-depth knowledge of nursing, patient care, and the ability to practice independently within the confines of educational preparation, physician orders, and as assigned and supervised by a registered nurse.  


Qualifications

Minimum Experience Required

State-licensed LVN or RN  

Minimum Education Required

Graduate of accredited licensed vocational nursing program or registered nurse program  

Minimum Licensure

LVN; CA RN; CAR INS; DRV LIC; CT CPRBLS  

Special Skills Required

Demonstrates ability to work within a case-managed model of patient-care delivery. Demonstrates proficient intermediate nursing skills. Demonstrates a caring, compassionate attitude toward others. Ability and willingness to actively participate in agency task forces and committees. Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently. Demonstrates clear, effective written and oral English skills, and objective, active listening skills. Reacts calmly and efficiently in emergencies. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others across all agency departments.  

Preferred Experience

One year of nursing experience preferred. Med/Surg or acute hospital experience preferred Home Health experience preferred
