Responsibilities
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) performs nursing care to patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or there direct management member. The LVN performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Assist with patient and family teaching working cooperatively with all health care providers. The LVN utilizes observation and assists medical staff to ensure optimal care within established policies procedures and standards of Community Hospital of San Bernardino (CHSB). This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of San Bernardino. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Community Hospital of San Bernardino strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement process and activities.
Qualifications
One (1) year experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) working with psychiatric patients either in an inpatient or residential setting required.
Licensed Vocational Nurse License (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 30 days of hire.
