Responsibilities This position is responsible for providing direct patient care in a directed scope of practice under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), physician assistant (PA), or physician within the ED . This position provides nursing care to patients in an organized and appropriate manner under the guidance and supervision of a physician or an experienced RN. The LVN collaborates and communicates with the interprofessional team of healthcare providers to achieve desired outcomes through coordinated, efficient and compassionate care. Clinical competence is demonstrated in provision of care through administering medications, using technology, performing procedures, and advocating for patient and family rights. Qualifications Job Requirements: Completion of education to obtain Texas Licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Licensed Vocational Nurse(LVN) with Texas Board of Nursing – OR – current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact American Heart Association (AHS) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS required Preferred Job Requirements: One (1) year of experience in clinic setting preferred
