Location Description Michael Foods, Inc. located in Lenox, Iowa and often called the "Pearl of the Prairie" is where you can find small town living, focused on family and friends, with big city amenities not far from reach in Des Moines, Omaha, and Kansas City. Located in southwest Iowa, Taylor county, with a population of around 1400, the Lenox area reaches far beyond the city limits with beautiful and productive fields of corn, beans, and other croplands. The MFI location in Lenox produces primarily pre-cooked egg patties. Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: General sanitation operator brings and puts away all production supplies via forklift, assists with trash removal, and dumping of trash carts. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Dispose of trash and inedible cooked in appropriate containers according to USDA and company guidelines. Bring needed supplies from warehouse to production lines via forklift. At end of production remove all supplies from production lines and return them to their appropriate rack in warehouses. Collect and empty trash in compactors to keep the plant free of bacteria. Ability to safely operate a Power Industrial Truck. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED: Less than high school education. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Escalate issues when appropriate.
