TMHCC’s M&A Analyst Summer Internship Program:

TMHCC’s M&A Analyst Summer Internship Program is a 10-week career development experience for college students that allows participants to collaborate with TMHCC’s close-knit Transaction Risk Insurance (TRI) team in a real-time business setting, experience education and understanding regarding the transaction risk insurance product in conjunction with M&A transactions and attend networking events with peers and outside brokers. The program consists of meaningful work, career development skills trainings, team-wide social events and industry events with the goal of developing skills such as self-awareness, relationship management, prioritization, communication, collaboration, growth mindset and much more. TMHCC’s M&A Analyst Summer Interns will have the opportunity to shadow members of our senior TRI Americas team and are exposed to the life cycle of a policy from submission through underwriting projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION: M&A Analyst Summer Intern

The M&A Analyst Summer Intern role is open to undergraduate students from finance, accounting, business, economics or pre-law.

We are looking for a rising college senior to fill this role in our New York office. The M&A Analyst Summer Intern will work directly with TMHCC’s underwriting team to evaluate business risk across many industries. The position will provide in-depth exposure to the dynamic transactional insurance industry and M&A deals from leading private equity firms and global strategics, all in an entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities will include:

Initial review and analysis of M&A transaction submissions, including reviewing financial statements, business operational information, and purchase agreementsAssess M&A transaction risks and prepare preliminary terms for RWI policy indicationsAssist Underwriters in managing deal pipeline, including managing and maintaining electronic underwriting files, producing indications, coordinating due diligence process with outside counsel and accountants, and preparing insurance policies for issuanceAttend marketing events, business development events, and group strategy sessions

Desired Skills and Experience: 

Our ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and a team-player who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. We seek candidates that have solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy. We are seeking candidates interested in learning about M&A transactions with intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Spring 2026 graduation strongly preferred.

WORK: 

10-week program is in our New York City office for 4 days each week Monday-Thursday.
