Job Description SummaryPerforms DLN tuning on heavy duty gas turbines using remote access and data streaming technology; works with site and engineering personnel to perform their duties. Extended hours and weekend work may be required to support customer and business needs in a 24/7 set-up. Roles and Responsibilities

Provides tuning/engine adjustment recommendations in order to maintain the operability window for heavy duty gas turbinesAssists onsite resources with tuning/engine adjustment, startup and operation support as needed and ableTrains team, field resources and other GE personal on tuning and operation troubleshooting activitiesCollaborates with team members within Services as needed to support outage completionAssists in troubleshooting and resolving remote connectivity issues on sites where the Remote Tuning team is responsible for tuning/engine adjustmentIs aware of cybersecurity concerns and maintains credentials for remote access to customer sitesProvides duty engineer support as part of the rotation within the Remote Tuning teamSupports the installed base including activities such as customer issue resolution, fleet issues, service bulletin implementation, Monitoring & Diagnostics, fleet configuration, maintenance of fleet data, outage managementUtilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy/strategyContinues to grow in technical depth; shows willingness to learn new technologiesWorks on continuous improvement projects as related to the business for cost reduction and/or quality improvements


Required Qualifications

HS diploma or GED with +5 years’ Field Service experience in troubleshooting and operation on heavy duty gas turbinesStrong controls experience preferably GE Vernova Mark V, VI, VIe controllersExperience in the E-, F- and H-class tuning adjustment processUnderstands onsite networks and IT structures in order to support remote connection troubleshooting activitiesExceptionally strong end-customer interaction skills and ability to travel as necessaryKnowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the marketUses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated tuning processes with technical variety; uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisionsFluency in English

+8 years’ Field Service experience in troubleshooting and operation on heavy duty gas turbinesControls experience in non-GE Vernova controllersDemonstrates ability to work within a matrix and global environmentHas a strong attention to detail, is disciplined and organizedDemonstrates ability to work with multiple stakeholders and be a team playerStrong interpersonal and leadership skills supported by strong oral and written communication skillsUnderstanding of remote tools and communication methods to interact with other partiesActs as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.Explains information and showing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within their fieldStrong understanding of power generation plants and operational principles

The base pay range for this position is $98,000.00 -$131,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. ​

*The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
