M&O Director (Secret Clearance) - Kennedy Space Center
The M&O Director will provide leadership and support for maintenance and operations projects at NASA Kennedy Space Center. This role involves coordinating project budgets, schedules, and resources while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and contract requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing technical teams, overseeing project execution, and serving as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Position is contingent upon contract award **Responsibilities** + Provide on-site and office-based support for maintenance and operations projects, ensuring effective execution and alignment with projectobjectives. + Assistestimators with task estimating for project planning and resource allocation. + Coordinate project budgets, schedules, materials, and personnel to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. + Lead and guide technical staff, assigning tasks,monitoringperformance, and resolving challenges tomaintainproductivity and quality standards. + Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction. + Document and present project status reports, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation plans as needed. + Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures tomaintaina secure and hazard-free work environment. + Oversee daily management of project activities, including work execution, personnel supervision, and resourceutilization. + Drive process improvements tooptimizeefficiency, reduce costs, and enhance project outcomes. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in project management, construction management, engineering, or a related field. + 15+ years of relevant experience in project or operations management, including leadership of technical teams. + PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or the ability to obtain it. + Strong leadership and organizational skills, with proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. + Expertisein project budgeting, scheduling, and resource management. + Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and team members. + In-depth knowledge of safety compliance requirements and best practices in a technical environment. + Secret Clearance Required. **Job ID** 2025-15725 **Work Type** On-Site **Company Description** **Work Where it Matters** Akima Support Operations (ASO), an Akima company, is not just another federal facilities contractor.
