Job Summary
Provide overall administration and technical direction to coordinate and maintain all IT requirements and security, for Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Network and Systems. Perform all functions and responsibilities in conjunction with Morton Salt’s policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide first, second and third level support as appropriate for main offices, plants, distribution centers, external vendors and remote locations, in both a legacy IT environment and the Modern Workplace. Consisting of office and plant networks, servers and application environments, including Windows Servers (all versions), Active Directory, Microsoft 365 & Office 365 platform and security, Azure AD, SharePoint, OneDrive, MS Teams and Teams telephony, Intune, Windows Terminal Server, Hyper-V, VMware, Anti-Malware apps, MS SQL First, second and third level support as appropriate for all workstations, network peripheral devices, switches, firewalls, printers, scanners, VOIP telephony, com devices, physical cabling, hand scanners. Workstation OS from XP to 11 and Linux. Works closely with all IT functional areas to implement operational requirements for new and existing IT systems. Consult with 3rd party vendors, external contractors, project team members and internal staff to ensure that IT standards are met with hardware/software and policies/procedures. Analyze business processes and match systems hardware/software through development of technical solutions. Design, install and maintain Production control and monitoring equipment/systems in a 24 x 7 environment. Implement, maintain, administer and provide user support of business line applications including MS suite of standard applications, M365/O365 along with all hardware, and hardware upgrades. Proactive management based upon preventative care. Continual improvement of configurations, technologies along with IT policies and procedures. Oversight of others who administer, monitor, maintain optimal performance, connectivity and operation of Servers, Switches with respect to all LAN/WAN-related network sites and services, whether staff or vendors. Coordinate and implement organization software. Maintain and administer Phone System, Voice Mail System, video, fax and printer solutions. Completes Network Security Tasks including backups, anti-virus/malware, anti-spam, and disaster plans with business continuity planning. Systems migration skills for multi-domain and platform/application moves. Install, configure and maintain the following devices: notebooks/tablets/desktop, cellular devices, desk VOIP phones, printers, faxes, photocopier/scanning machines. All Intune based. Maintain an inventory of installed software and hardware and manage licensing. M365 and ITSM tools. Work with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensuring that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule. Specifically, enrollment into M365. Create and manage user email accounts and manage access control based on company policies. M365 Security and Conditional Access Policies. Plan and implement various hardware and software upgrades including equipment refresh and Applications version upgrades, Windows updates and patches. Remove old equipment and perform data migration to new machines. Maintain and upgrade website and make modifications as required to keep up to date. Provides user training and the creation of instruction manuals as required. Support of Web activity and applications. Future growth potential to troubleshoot intricate network and systems issues down to the physical layer, through on up to the application layer. Provide critical thinking to complex problems in a 24/7, mission critical network environment. Automate any and all tasks that can be automated. Assists in hardware/software purchases. Supports other key initiatives as the business dictates. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Exceptional knowledge of the Modern Workplace, M365, IT operating systems and server application platforms. Firsthand experience installing IT hardware and software. Web experience. Microsoft certifications preferred, but qualified experience will be considered. University or college degree an asset, or equivalent experience. Excellent organization and time management skills. Minimum 5 years of experience in this role.
