M365 Generalist
Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as a M365 Admin Generalist. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and supporting Microsoft 365 environments. This role requires a hands-on professional with expertise in various M365 applications, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and end-users.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Administration and Support:Manage and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other M365 applications.Monitor system performance, ensure the health and reliability of the M365 services, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.Provide end-user support and training for M365 applications and services.Security and Compliance:Implement and manage security policies, compliance features, and data protection measures within M365.Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures for information security and compliance.Configuration and Management:Configure and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in M365.Handle the deployment and configuration of new M365 features and services.Manage email flow, spam filtering, and email security configurations.Integration and Automation:Integrate M365 applications with other business systems and services.Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.Documentation and Reporting:Create and maintain detailed documentation of the M365 environment, configurations, and procedures.Generate reports on system performance, usage, and security compliance.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Technical Skills:Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and related services.Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.Strong understanding of M365 security and compliance features.Experience with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols related to M365 services.Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, managing and supporting Microsoft 365 environments.Experience in an IT support or helpdesk role is advantageous.Experience with M365 migrations and implementations is a plus.Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.ESSENTIALS:Certifications:Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate, or other M365 certifications are highly desirable.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Clearance:Public Trust is required
