The Sleep Medicine Clinic is looking to hire a team-oriented and personable part-time Medical Assistant at our clinics located at the Meridian Health Plaza and Boise Regional Medical Center campus!
Position Summary & Highlights:This MA position will work primarily work 1:1 with an NP.
Our Sleep Disorders Centers are staffed by Saint Alphonsus physicians, who are either board-certified or trained in sleep medicine.
Each of our locations offers a full-service sleep program that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of adult and pediatric sleep disorders including sleep apnea, narcolepsy and chronic insomnia.
The program includes a full evaluation, including sleep studies and other tests that can diagnose sleep disorders ranging from mild to the most severe.
What You Will Do:Work in a friendly and fantastic care team environment where you will work with other MAs and variety of Providers.
In addition to rooming and patient intake, you will process prior authorizations and work through other orders from the other providers.
Work with Providers to send/download/look up sleep studies and work closely with DMEs.
Work in a neutral paced environment, enough to keep anyone busy without the added stresses and open communication.
An ideal candidate will be a strong team player, have a positive attitude, and willingness to learn and grow with the team.
Work Schedule:
16 hours per week, 2 - 8 hour shifts
Boise Clinic: Wednesdays, 7:30am - 5:00pm
Meridian Health Plaza: Thursdays, 7:30am - 5:00pm

This position may also occasionally travel to outreach clinics in Ontario and Baker City to cross cover other MAs as needed.

Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
American Medical Technologists (RMA)
National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP)
New Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification.
Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
*Obtaining the MA certification requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
