The Lake Hazel Urgent Care Clinic is now hiring for a team-oriented and efficient Medical Assistant!
Position Summary & HighlightsAs an MA at the Lake Hazel Urgent Care Clinic, you will be working with a very driven and supportive team.
Located on the corner of Lake Hazel and Five Mile roads, this clinic offers family medicine to patients seeking help managing their wellness and chronic medical conditions.
The Lake Hazel clinic has procedure rooms, lab and digital X-Ray services on site, in addition to a fully staffed Urgent Care facility open every day 8am – 8pm.
What You Will Do:In addition to primary MA duties, you will also perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and prep injections.
You will assist with minor procedures, complete POC and other tests, chart prep, medication reviews, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox.
You may also help out with the Family Medicine clinic occasionally.
An ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn, have excellent organizational and prioritizing skills, strong communication skills, and is adaptable and dependable.
You will also enjoy working in a strong team environment, truly enjoy providing great patient care and like to have fun. If this sounds like a fit, then this is the position for you!
Work Schedule:This position will work 36 hours/week, 3 - 12 hour shifts. It currently works Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but could be up for negotiation.
The clinic is open 8:00am - 8:00pm.

Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
American Medical Technologists (RMA)
National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP)
New Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification.
Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
*EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
