JOB DESCRIPTION:

This is a Fall Internship Opportunity. The forecasted start date is September 2024.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervised and trained by Centerstone staff (this internship works with young children ages 1.5 - 6 and their families)Conduct tasks with individuals and their families who are receiving mental & behavioral health servicesTake client dataObserve and participate in case managementConduct 1-3 meetings with parents during time of internshipParticipate in program duties to ensure program runs smoothly

WORK SCHEDULE

20 to 40 hours per week. Tuesday and Thursday are program operating days. These days will be mandatory for the internship unless it is school related classes or events that conflict. Working hours are between 9 A.M. and 5 P.M., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday hours are 9 A.M. to 7:45 P.M. due to program being run on these days.Internship within clinic setting in Clarksville, TN

QUALIFICATIONS

Working toward a bachelor’s/master’s degree in public health, social sciences, or related fieldInterest in gaining experience working with children and their familiesDemonstrated history of being able to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work with data; detail-orientedExcellent communication skillsMust be able to commit to 20-40 hours a week

BENEFITS FOR THE STUDENT

Students will have hands on experience interacting with clients. Students will have the opportunity to enhance professional skills. Additionally, students will gain experience and training on Microsoft Excel, while learning to clean and analyze data sets. Students will learn to navigate data visualization and storytelling through creating one pagers and other presentations.

OTHER INFORMATION

If selected, students will be guided to fulfill a background check and provide five (5) references as part of the Centerstone onboarding process.

This is an unpaid internship.
