MAIN FUNCTION: Provides clinical support and training to support GFP RN Quality Manger.
Quality Control –
· Work with practice management to ensure all staff members are trained on proper procedures and follow applicable rules for in office testing and specimen collection
· Routinely inspect offices, equipment, and associated documentation to ensure compliance with applicable rules.
· Makes recommendations to RN Quality manager and Practice Managers regarding corrective actions.
· Make recommendations to RN Quality Manager regarding internal policies and procedures for in office testing and specimen collection.
· Travel to GFP offices and help complete Quality Audit Log Checks in offices.
· Assist with training of new staff in proper Quality Controls on point of care testing.
· Ensure that Quality Controls and medication sample logs are completed in offices; work with Practice Manager to assign staff to assist if needed.
Training Coordinator –
· Facilitates training and orientation of new staff members on office policies and procedures, proper use of equipment and in office testing requirements.
· Provides remedial training to staff members as needed.
· Coordinate training of student Medical Assistants during clinical externships
· Provide active support in onboarding of MAs in their office.
· Facilitate training of staff on new point of care testing, equipment or workflow
· Assists RN Quality Manager in developing and implementing clinical workflows for assigned offices.
· Assist RN Quality Manager with completing all clinical competencies and other trainings, including point of care testing.
· Bring forward any clinical obstacles and safety concerns to RN Quality Manager.
· Organize Quarterly meetings for office preceptors.
Provides administrative support to RN Quality Manager –
· Maintain database for staff certifications.
· Assist RN Quality Manager with keeping HealthStream’s up to date and run reports.
· Ensures the timely preparation and distribution of training materials for staff.
· Communicates with employees, customers, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate, or explain information, take orders, and address complaints.
· Demonstrates willingness to learn data collection from Meditech reports or other vendor software.
· Always maintains and preserves the confidentiality of records in accordance with departmental and Hospital policy. Demonstrates awareness of HIPAA regulations as they relate to protected healthcare information.
EDUCATION:
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Current BLS certification required.
· MA certification required.
· Strong knowledge of medical terminology required.
· Graduation from accredited MA school or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Primary Care & Specialty Care preferred. Strong knowledge of Athena EMR system. Phlebotomy experience.
