This position will work with a busy Family Medicine Physician Assistant, but will also work with other MAs and providers as well in a care team environment.
The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group on Emerald near Curtis Road provides family medicine, occupational medicine, and urgent care services just one block away from the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. From preventive screenings to chronic disease diagnosis and management, our providers are committed to keeping you and your family healthy.
What You Will Do:In addition to primary MA duties, you will also perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and prep injections.
You will assist with minor procedures, complete POC and other tests, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox.
An ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, is adaptable and dependable.
You also like working in a strong team environment, have effective communication skills, and have solid critical thinking skills.
Work Schedule:40 hours per week, 4 - 10 hour shifts, during the work week Mondays - Fridays, around the hours of 8:00am - 6:00pm
During training, the new hire will work Mondays - Fridays, 5 - 8 hour schedule but then will move to a 4 - 10 hour schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent required.
All Candidates: MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
American Medical Technologists (RMA)
National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP)
New Graduates: Completion of either 6 months MA experience or completion of 100-hour MA externship is required even with MA certification.
Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
*Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
