Job Description
We are seeking a skilled assembler for our South Bend, IN location. In this role, you will be responsible for fastening joints and seams in sheet metal using fasteners and drivers, ensuring that all work meets quality specifications and safety guidelines. This position involves working on ladders and being exposed to heights. You will be part of a team environment, and prior experience in construction will be highly beneficial.
ResponsibilitiesScrewing sheet metal panels togetherInstalling insulationUsing power tools such as drills, grinders, and plasma cutting equipmentLaying out, measuring, and marking dimensions and reference lines on materialsUtilizing calculators and tape measuresFastening seams and joints together with bolts, rivets, caulks, and metal drive clips to assemble components into productsDrilling holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivetsAssembling and fitting pre-fabricated parts to form subassembliesMaintaining cleanliness of the work area
Work Environment
This position is within a fabrication shop environment, which can be darker, dirty, and loud. The company manufactures large control panels that sit on top of commercial buildings. Working hours are from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
