Assist in the operation of thermoforming equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company policies/processes and customer specificationsOperate thermoforming equipment in the absence of the operatorContinuously develop skills to operate thermoforming equipment to qualify for available Thermoforming Operator positionsDUTIES
Follow all safety and 5S guidelines – ensure work area remains clean and organized at all timesPromote others to work in a safe mannerAct responsibly with equipment and property of the company and employeesEffectively work within BMS, including reading schedules, entering and maintaining accurate operational data (finished goods produced and packed pallets)Perform all duties pertaining to the packaging of the finished product: assemble cartons with liners and position for Packers, use of BMS, load finished cartons on pallets, and label cartons correctlyTake appropriate measures to ensure all products are completed to production, quality, and technical specificationsKeep Operator/Supervisor informed of critical issues which affect safety, quality, and production levelsAssist the Thermoforming Operator in the safe and efficient operation of the machine, up to and including, but not limited to: changeovers/machine set-up, roll splices, regrind/elutriator system, process/non-process waste system, QA checks, BMS operations, daily 5S and auditsAssist Operator in giving breaks and lunches on your machine.Complete certification by successful completion of Assistant Thermoforming Operator Job Training Outline and Skills Assessment and work toward/achieve Thermoforming Operator certificationAcquire the skills needed for the thermoforming operation, including machine adjustments, changeover, dialing in machine, and QA checksAssist Operator in maintaining: tool boards, machine boards, audits, check sheets, etc.Perform any task as directed by Supervisor, Team Leader, or Operator to support plant operationsComply with and support enforcement of all policies and procedures, e.g., work rules, quality, GMP, Food Safety, etc.Support Kaizen Events and/or other continuous improvement and cost savings initiativesSKILLS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated ability to assist in operation of thermoforming equipmentEffective interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated alignment with Amcor Core Values, teamwork and contribution to a positive team environmentCertified as an Inspector Packer through successful completion of Job Training Outline and Skills AssessmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
