**Job Title: Machine Builder** **Job Description** The person in this role will build assemblies, sub-assemblies, panels, and components for large automated machine equipment. The equipment is used in the manufacturing of medical devices, as well as in the aerospace and nuclear industries, is very complex, and can take up to a year to build each piece. **Responsibilities** + Follow step-by-step instructions to connect and assemble components, both mechanically and electrically. + Assemble machines, sub-assemblies, and build machines from prints. + Test and troubleshoot components using volt meters. + Use a Bill of Materials (BOM) and schematic to identify potential problems and organize by assembly. + Assist or supervise machine 'power up'. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of experience in machine, hydraulic, pneumatic, or automated equipment building OR an AAS degree in automation and robotics, power and fluid, or as an electronic technician. + 3+ years of experience working from mechanical and electrical schematics, prints, or diagrams. + 1+ year of experience in troubleshooting, testing, and using volt meters. Additional Skills & Qualifications + **Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and tape measures.** + **Experience in mechanical assembly and machine building.** + **Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and understand hydraulic and pneumatic systems.** + **Experience in electrical wiring and automation.** **Work Environment** The work environment is a clean room or clean space manufacturing area that is well-lit and temperature-controlled. The facility has a great open-concept culture.
