**Job Title: Machine Building Mechanical Assembler**
**Job Description**
Will mechanically assemble EDM Machines by reading blueprints using hand and power tools. The Machine Building Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of hydraulic and mechanical systems, applying thorough knowledge of mechanical technologies and principles. This position utilizes internal and external resources to solve complex operational problems related to these systems and works under minimal supervision to resolve problems with production equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read and interpret instructions, mechanical assembly drawings, and blueprints.
+ Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
+ Determine changes in dimensional requirements using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other instrumentation.
+ Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and straightedges.
+ Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.
+ Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
+ Perform mechanical assembly and disassembly of components.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints or mechanical drawings.
+ Good mechanical aptitude.
+ Proven ability to read and use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring instrumentation.
+ High School Diploma or GED.
