INTRODUCTION

This position is responsible for performing general mechanical maintenance of facility equipment in a timely and courteous manner.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance of manufacturing equipmentRepairs and maintains facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, and humidification)Uses rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments accuratelyPerforms basic handiwork such as replacing light bulbs, ballasts, water, and air filters, and plumbing fixtures, cleaning drains, hanging pictures and bulletin boards, and maintaining proper forklift batteriesPrepares and operates machine tools such as grinders, and drill presses to repair or fabricate machine parts and/or fixturesTroubleshoots electric and electronic problemsTroubleshoots and repairs mechanical componentsTroubleshoots motors, pumps, compressors, and any other systems in the plantPerforms preventative maintenanceWorks on call as requiredMaintains accurate maintenance recordsOperates scissor lifts and forkliftsPerforms other job duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

3 years’ experience in machine maintenanceHave a working knowledge of AC/DC motors.Basic electric and mechanical safetyBasic computer experienceKnowledgeable in the safe use of hand tools and small power toolsMust be able to work on-call as neededHave acute troubleshooting skillsMust be able to maintain good attendanceWilling to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periodsMust be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation

 

EDUCATION

High school diploma preferred
