PDS Tech Commercial is hiring an Additive Manufacturing Production Technician to join the Additive Design and Manufacturing (ADaM) team at our Monroe, NC facility. In this hands-on role, you’ll contribute to the production of high-quality components, operate state-of-the-art AM equipment, and ensure facility operations run smoothly. What You Will Do:As an Additive Manufacturing Production Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Operating & Maintaining AM Equipment: Set up, operate, clean, and perform preventative maintenance on additive manufacturing (AM) and post-processing equipment such as vacuum furnaces and wire EDM. Production Workflow Management: Oversee the product flow from AM build to post-processing (support removal, deburring, and cleaning) to maintain optimal efficiency and quality standards. Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Total Productive Maintenance (TPM): Troubleshoot and coordinate with contractors and OEMs to address equipment issues, minimize downtime, and extend the lifespan of machinery. Data Entry & Reporting: Utilize Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for accurate product tracking and data entry while complying with Quality Management System (QMS) policies, AS9100 standards, and statistical process control (SPC) data entry. Waste Management & Inventory: Support waste management protocols and maintain inventory and tools to ensure smooth production and maintenance operations. Collaborative Projects: Participate in risk reduction, improvement projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, quality, and digital technology to enhance production capabilities and efficiency. Qualifications You Must Have: Education: Typically requires an AA/AS degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a University degree in a related field. Alternatively, 4 years of relevant experience without a degree. Experience: 2+ years of experience in a facilities, maintenance, or production manufacturing environment. 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods. Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating precision equipment, manual dexterity for setup, support removal, deburr operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license. Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with Metal Additive Manufacturing processes and metal powder handling. Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and MES Systems (e.g., Teamcenter, SAP, Solumina). Strong data documentation and reporting skills. Experience executing instructions within production processes, including adherence to AS9100 standards and the ability to write standard work instructions. Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing machine operations, including hands-on experience with AM technologies. Pay Details: $27.50 per hour
