Start your new career as a Machine Operator with MAU at our client in Madison, GA. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for running orders on any assigned cutting table.
As a Machine Operator, you must be flexible in changing tables and exhibit proper know-how in settings up, running, and troubleshooting the equipment as outlined in Standard Work Instructions and execute good judgement in escalating issues to Supervisors when an issue is deemed outside of your control. Machine Operators must meet productivity and quality goals as outlined by Management, Policies, and Standard Work Instructions.
What We Offer $17.50 per hour 1st shift, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM 3rd shift, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM 2/2/3 schedule Overtime opportunities Health benefits, including telehealth medical services Opportunity for advancement Referral program What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED preferred Prior machine operation experience Good computer skills and ability to learn SAP to process the completion of orders Basic mechanical ability required for setup and troubleshooting of the equipment Experience troubleshooting experience preferred Mathematical skills to include percentages, multiplication, subtraction, division, decimals, and fractions Ability to work in a team environment while being a self-starter Strong attention to detail Flexibility to work any mandatory overtime Ability to stand, push, pull, and reach Ability to lift up to 50 pounds What You’ll Do as a Machine Operator Setup, operate, and troubleshoot assigned cutting tables per standard work instruction without the need for outside assistance Inspect all orders to ensure they are damage free and meet quality standards, separate defective product Place cut material in packing box and ensure labels are correct before being placed onto the packing box Ensure proper boxes are used and free of damage Maintain a high level of productivity, efficiency, and quality while adhering to appropriate safety standards Meet production goals, cut the minimum yards required at standard cutting rate in a normal work schedule Cross-train on Die Press to provide coverage as needed Ensure that table and work area are kept clean and is safe working condition Follow all safety procedures, recognize unsafe acts, and make recommendations for improvement Perform other tasks as assigned
