Full-time entry level position in Springfield, VA. Training provided. Occasional night and weekend may be required. Knowledge/Experience in use of forklift desired. Must have reliable transportation/valid driver’s license. Starting wage $22/hour; excellent benefits. Potential $24/hour after successful completion of 2-year training program. Warehouse Operator Trainee

Loads, unloads and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.  Performs any combination of following duties: Reads work order or follows oral instructions to perform assigned tasks.  Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.  Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit using the appropriate hand tools.  Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area using hand-truck, electric dolly, clamp trucks, forklifts or other device. 

Prepares proper documentation for shipping and receiving of product and verifies all information is accurate and correct.  Loads and unloads trucks and railcars. Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together, using banding machine and clincher.  Lifts heavy objects by hand or using power hoist and cleans work area, machines, and equipment. Makes simple adjustments or repairs, such as realigning belts or replacing rollers using hand tools.

The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
