Machine Operator
**Job Title: Production Operator** **Job Description** This position is responsible for producing plastic sheet products through various extrusion and/or value-added processes and for packaging product to customer’s specifications. This includes startup/shutdown, troubleshooting, QC inspection, proper packaging and material handling, and trainer/training of processes. Candidates must be comfortable learning how to drive a forklift. Candidates will need to be able to lift roughly 40-50 lbs; most items will be on a pallet and will use a forklift. Key Responsibilities: 1. Perform all duties and tasks in a safe manner. 2. Operate various extrusion machines to produce and maintain quality plastic sheet products. 3. Meet production and quality standards. 4. Clean and maintain components and equipment. 5. Band and wrap finished product. 6. Perform quality checks and complete inspection records as required. 7. Actively participate in plant housekeeping activities. 8. Conduct material handling activities using a forklift. 9. Effectively operate the plant manufacturing processes as evaluated by the process checklists. 10. Complete the Production Operator progression and process checklists from Entry level Operator 1 to higher levels, becoming a subject matter expert, and train skills and process knowledge up to Operator level 2-4 abilities. 11.
