Job Description:

Responsibilities:Ensures that production standards are met by operating all packing room machines at specified efficiency (speed). Packing room machines include (but not limited to):box machines, box tapers, stretch wrapper, diverter gates, and sonic sensorsDetermines upcoming production needs by studying production sheet to anticipate changeovers and assigned products to machines. Uses this information to have correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, etc. ready for next orderMaintains specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions, and inspecting product for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code-dates to keep within specified bag waste limitsEnsures product specifications by completing weight checks on packing linesLimits downtime to specified standards by:Completing machine changeovers in specified time to ensure production standardsResolving production problems by altering process to meet specifications; and communicating with packing room supervisor, lead packers, and master machine operator to resolve issues or obtain maintenance troubleshootingEnsures good manufacturing procedures by following housekeeping standardsPerforms cleaning duties to include floor sweeping, refilling supplies, and cleaning slip-stik and entire work area. Completes sanitation duties on rotating scheduleEnsures efficient and quality production and positive employee relations by complying with all employment policies, rules, regulations, safety procedures, good manufacturing procedures, product protection standards, and actively participating in all training requirements

Important Details

This role is a 3rd shift position working from 11:00 pm to 7:00 amThere will be mandatory overtime in this roleHourly rate of pay is $21.25

About you:
