Job Description
Inspect, adjust, and calibrate the machine as required to ensure consistent operationVerify & make sure correct jars, labels, caps are usedVerify with ingredient operator there is peanut butter in the kettle. Change over the filler, capper, sealer, cap hopper, heuft, checkweigher, and Depal as needed. You may sometimes need to adjust the conveyorsMaintain a consistent and constant product (peanut butter) flowVerify with QA and Setup Video Jet printer, verify information is correctInsure machinery is properly started and stopped to minimize maintenance and down timeInsure product type and containers are correct matching daily production sheetInsure all information on packaging and boxes is correctRecord all downtime, length of time, and explanation on Down Time Report. Turn in the report to Shift Supervisor/team leadRecord any other issues or concerns during your shiftClean and maintain the jar depal area during and after your shiftFill out other reports assignedAssist QA Management in any task that needs to be done as assigned.Help fellow employees in other areas when needed and remove all trash daily at end of shifts
Work Experience
Open pallet of jars for the Depal machine unit to sweepMake adjustments and corrections to the Depal unit.Monitor the Depal unit for smooth continuous supply of empty jarsMust dump caps as needed (consistently)Be familiar with the conveyor system (Nercon)Clean the filler including disassembly as requiredCross train with other areas of the packaging line to help expedite changeoversAssist other operators during breakdowns and/or scheduled cleanings
