**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** Job Summary: Setup and run printing press or high-speed technical machinery, focusing on time-saving practices to limit downtime and setup times. Ensure a quality product is released to our customers. Essential Job Functions: • Setup and operate a high-speed printing press machine with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment while working safely. • Limit scrap waste, deliver waste to the proper department when the scrap truck is full, and accurately tag for waste reporting. • Collect top and bottom sheets (dunnage) to expedite the converting process. • Practice good lockout/tagout procedures. • Follow reporting processes for accurate completion of production paperwork and CTI/HRMS. • Mount die boards, assist in the setup of the machine, and keep the machine running. • Read and understand production order copy for every production run, and assist the operator in ensuring quality (includes basic corrugated terminology). • Understand machine mechanical functionality and conduct in-depth cleaning of the press when scheduled. **Hard Skills** + Setup and operation of high-speed printing press machine + Scrap waste management and reporting + Lockout/tagout procedures + Production paperwork and CTI/HRMS reporting + Mounting die boards + Machine mechanical functionality and cleaning **Work Environment** Our client has built a 550,000 square foot, state-of-the-art, green facility that is finally operational. This brand-new location has 26 dock doors and over $30 million worth of state-of-the-art technology. Although the facility is not climate-controlled due to the corrugated manufacturing process requiring heat and pressure, it is well ventilated but expect warmer temperatures during hot summer months. Candidates will be required to wear steel-toed boots, safety vests, safety glasses, and ear protection at all times. A hard hat is also required temporarily as some areas are finalizing construction.
