**Job Title: Production Operator** **Job Description** Candidates will work on the production floor with 13 employees per shift. The average tenure of employees in production is between 10 - 15 years. The role involves operating large kettles that mix paint and a three-roll milling machine that disperses paint into drums. Responsibilities include monitoring the machine, scraping paint from the mill into the drum, and lifting weights between 30 - 50 lbs. Candidates will also operate a sit-down forklift to move drums to the staging area. Additional tasks include preparing the next drum, repacking filled containers, and performing miscellaneous tasks like cleaning when work is slow. The role requires the use of personal protective equipment and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. **Hard Skills** + Lift up to 50 lbs. + General Production + Attention to Detail + Mathematical Skills **Soft Skills** + Team Player + Attention to Detail **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in WEST CHICAGO, Illinois. **Work Environment** Schedule: Monday - Friday. Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. 1st Shift: 6AM-2:30PM $18/hour. 2nd Shift: 2PM-10:30PM $18.50/hour. 3rd Shift: 10PM-6:30AM $19/hour (90 days training on 1st shift). The production floor is clean and organized but hot due to ink manufacturing and tub washing machines.
