Machine Operator II
The Machine Operator is responsible for complete operation of assigned stations and all other associated work.
Shift / Schedule: This is a union facility so flexibility to work any day or any night shift pattern is required.Positions are mainly 8/hr positions, with few 12hr shifts available but not guaranteed; based on seniority.
8hr shifts: Monday through Friday with regular Saturday OT. Some of these positions will switch from 8 to 12 hour pattern based on seniority and production needs.
6:00pm - 6:00am, 2:00pm – 10:30pm10:00pm – 6:30am.Position Responsibilities
Makes independent adjustments to the filler-capper to maintain greatest operational efficiency including: properly reattach hoses, properly set filler speed, and properly adjust fill height. Assist mechanics while performing preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs as required.Actively work to optimize machine and overall line performance.Must be willing and able to do changeovers.Maintain adherence to the production schedule in an accurate and timely manner.Ensure productivity by adhering to corporate manufacturing practices, standard operating procedures, critical control points and safety practices. Ensure finished products meet quality specifications by accurately conducting online quality checks and sampling as follows: fill temperature checks, cold water vacuum checks, cap security and pull-ups, weight control, tap tone dud detector check, packaging material lot identification, removal torque tests and cap code checks. Manually records data through chart recording, and makes necessary process adjustments based on data findings. Clean and sanitize all equipment and facility as required.
