**Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a heavy manufacturing environment and will be responsible for performing a variety of production operations in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves setting up, running, and troubleshooting machinery used to process titanium revert and create blends for EB/Plasma melting. **Responsibilities** + Set up, run, and troubleshoot machinery safely and efficiently. + Operate equipment used to sort, clean, size, blend, and compact titanium revert, sponge, and master alloys. + Assist with maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment as needed. + Operate and perform preventative checks on forklifts, front-end loaders, and other equipment. + Perform clean-up operations in all areas of the facility. + Complete work assignments in accordance with production requirements. + Become proficient in using mobile computers and completing shop floor data paperwork accurately. + Train in fire prevention and firefighting techniques to contain titanium fires. + Communicate necessary information to relief employees regarding equipment issues, material issues, and safety concerns. + Evaluate work area and equipment at the beginning and end of the shift to ensure safety. + Participate in and adhere to all safety policies and procedures. + Work safely and efficiently to meet or exceed throughput and productivity requirements. + Maintain a clean and orderly work area. + Communicate safety, quality, or equipment-related concerns to Foremen, Lead Operator, or Manager. + Display a willingness to cross-train in other operations to support cellular manufacturing philosophy. + Cross-train coworkers as deemed necessary by management. + Participate in continuous improvement programs and provide suggestions to improve processes and reduce costs. + Identify opportunities to reduce yield loss and eliminate waste. + Support operations in the melt shops and powder production. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read a tape measure. + High school diploma or GED. + Strong focus on safety. + Forklift experience. + Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
