**Job Title: Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
Operate a paper rewinding machine and assist with operations on the packaging line. The incumbent will be responsible for documenting and communicating all changes during their shift and communicating with the incoming worker. Additionally, they will perform quality control tests on all finished products prior to and during packaging.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and set up a paper rewinding machine.
+ Assist with operations on the packaging line.
+ Document and communicate all changes during the shift to the incoming worker.
+ Perform quality control tests on finished products prior to and during packaging.
+ Utilize the production schedule provided by supervisors to set up the correct paper rolls or products for rewinding or processing of tissues, paper towels, toilet paper, wipes, etc.
+ Adjust machine tolerances, speed of the rewinder, and load new paper rolls onto the machine after each production run.
+ Ensure assistant operators have clear expectations to help with packaging, pulling more materials, or assisting with roll and machine changeovers.
+ Troubleshoot machine issues as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience as a Machine Operator.
+ Ability to set up and adjust machines for product runs.
+ Skill in operating and adjusting rewinding machines for various paper products.
+ Effective communication skills with assistant operators and material handlers.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to stand on feet for up to 12 hours.
+ Work effectively in a team environment.
+ Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
**Work Environment**
This role is based in a clean, well-lit production facility with safeguards in place around all moving machines. There are designated walkways marked on the floor. Provided PPE includes eye protection glasses and ear plugs.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
