**Job Title: FIP Operator**
**Job Description**
The FIP Operator I is responsible for operating a Cartesian robot to dispense a thin (1 mm) gasket on electronics housings while performing in-process inspections and meeting customer expectations. This role includes supporting the operation of machines, cleaning, trimming, clipping parts, staging and unboxing parts, cleaning pumps and mixing equipment, installing pads, dowel pins and stamping parts, mixing material, changing out parts when the machine is set up and stable, running a deburr tank in the Machining department, and supporting the processing of Helicoils. The FIP Operator I ensures a clean and consistent production flow and excellent results, continually looks for opportunities to improve the manufacturing process and department, works with the QC Inspection team to ensure parts are within allowable tolerances, and adheres to all company Safety and Quality Management System policies and procedures.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate a Cartesian robot to dispense a thin (1 mm) gasket on electronics housings.
+ Perform in-process inspections and meet customer expectations.
+ Support the operation of machines.
+ Clean, trim, and clip parts.
+ Stage and unbox parts as needed.
+ Clean pumps and mixing equipment.
+ Install pads, dowel pins, and stamp parts.
+ Mix materials.
+ Change out parts when the machine is set up and stable.
+ Run a deburr tank in the Machining department.
+ Support the processing of Helicoils.
+ Ensure a clean and consistent production flow and excellent results.
+ Look for opportunities to improve the manufacturing process and department.
+ Work with the QC Inspection team to ensure parts are within allowable tolerances and finished parts do not have any flaws.
+ Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
+ Adhere to all company Quality Management System policies and procedures.
**Essential Skills**
+ A minimum of one year experience in Manufacturing preferred.
+ Experience operating manufacturing equipment preferred.
+ Knowledge of drafting or exposure to CAD software is helpful.
+ Ability to read and interpret part drawings and shop drawings preferred.
+ Understanding of basic manufacturing principles, decision making, deductive reasoning, and troubleshooting preferred.
+ Ability to self-manage, prioritize, and work independently.
+ Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Strong ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
+ Experience with MS Office 365 preferred.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of drafting or exposure to CAD software.
+ Experience with MS Office 365.

**Work Environment**
The warehouse area may be dusty, odorous, noisy, and subject to changing temperatures with outdoor weather. The shift for this position is from 6am to 2:30pm.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livermore, California.
