**Job Title: Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
Operate various machines to produce products for the agricultural industry. Primarily, you will operate large industrial press machines using pedals and buttons to punch out or mold agricultural products. You will also be responsible for loading raw materials onto a conveyor belt to pass through an industrial oven to reach the correct temperature before pressing. Once pressed, you will handle the heated material with tongs, quench it in a water solution to cool, and move it to the finishing department. Meeting production expectations requires knowledge of routings, bill of materials, feed systems, and occasionally blueprints. Additionally, you will assist in moving materials or products manually or by hoist or forklift, start machines, observe operations to detect malfunctions, complete quality checks, and perform routine machine maintenance once trained.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate large industrial press machines using pedals and buttons.
+ Load conveyor with raw material to pass through industrial oven.
+ Handle heated materials with tongs and quench in water solution.
+ Move products to the finishing department.
+ Meet production expectations using knowledge of routings, bill of materials, and feed systems.
+ Assist in moving materials or products manually or by hoist or forklift.
+ Start machines and observe operations to detect misalignment or malfunctions.
+ Complete quality checks according to company standards.
+ Clean and lubricate machines and tooling as required.
+ Perform routine machine maintenance once trained.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with press brake, stamping press, punch press, and machine operation.
+ Knowledge of industrial press, steel fabrication, and general labor.
+ Experience in manufacturing and agricultural manufacturing.
+ Skills in CNC, router, laser, burn table, shear press, saw, grind, bend steel, and sheet metal.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in steel manufacturing and production.
+ Proficiency with hand tools and blueprint reading.
+ Preferred: 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or production, machine operation, and press operation.
+ Open to training the right candidate.

**Work Environment**
Work 1st shift from 5am to 1pm, with the option to take a 30-minute unpaid lunch and work until 1:30pm, or a 10-minute paid lunch and work until 1pm. Enjoy 10-minute breaks throughout the day, with more frequent breaks during hot weather. Job duties will rotate every 2 hours. The facility is non-temp-controlled, which can get hot in the summer and comfortable in the winter. The environment is nostalgic, with some presses dating back to the 1940s, offering a unique work atmosphere.

This is a Contract position based out of Indianola, Iowa.
