**Job Title: 1st Shift Machine Operating** **Job Description** Candidates will be responsible for packaging material according to general packing instructions. Some customers require custom packaging, so it's important that candidates can follow written directions. After packaging, candidates must securely apply side bands to coils. Training will be provided for this task. Additionally, candidates must create coil identification tags by entering information into a computer and printing labels to be placed on the bands. Candidates will also use a forklift to move material, which will occupy about 10% of their day. The remaining time will be spent packaging and keeping the work area clean by sweeping. **Responsibilities** + Package material according to general packing instructions. + Follow written directions for custom packaging. + Apply side bands securely to coils. + Create coil identification tags by entering information into a computer and printing labels. + Use a forklift to move material (approximately 10% of the day). + Keep the work area clean by sweeping. **Work Environment** This position is based in a manufacturing environment, which can be hot, loud, or dirty at times.
