**Machine Operator | Batavia, IL** **1st & 2nd Shift Available $22+** **Start Immediately** **Overview** A metals manufacturing company in Batavia, IL is seeking to hire experienced Press Brake Operators for their 1st and 2nd shifts. You will be responsible for running a press brake machine to bend the parts to the correct angles. The machines will be set up for the production run, so you will just need to be able to line the part up in the machine and run it to create the bend in the part. 90% of the job will be on the press brake, but other duties can include doing assembly of products and running other machinery in the plant (sand blaster, automatic welder, laser). 1st shift is 6AM-2:30PM M-F and 2nd shift is 2PM-12:30AM M-TH. **Skills** + 2+ years of experience operating a Press Brake (Bystronic Press Brake machines would be a huge plus). + Experience reading blueprints. + Proficiency in using measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers. **Responsibilities** + Operate a press brake machine to bend parts to the correct angles. + Align parts in the machine and run it to create the bend in the part. + Inspect parts using blueprints and measuring tools to ensure quality. + Perform assembly of products as needed. + Operate other machinery in the plant, such as sand blaster, automatic welder, and laser **Shift & Pay** + 1st Shift: Monday - Friday + 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM + 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday + 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM + $22-$24 per hour **Work Environment** + It is a true metal manufacturing environment - it can be noisy and dusty. + The company is not temperature-controlled. It gets warm in the hot summer months, especially near the paint line.
