Machine Operator
**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** Set up, operate, and adjust various types of manual or automatic machines under minimal supervision. This includes setting up, operating, and adjusting various conventional or automatic machines such as Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines. You will work from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts in making repairs to metal parts as well as for experimental apparatus or prototype equipment. Additionally, you will read and modify programs by making necessary offsets for CNC machines, report variations in program sequences, positioning, cycle time, etc., and adjust machines to control part dimensions. **Responsibilities** + Set up, operate, and adjust various conventional or automatic machines such as CNC machines. + Set up all tools, fixtures, and controls for each new job. + Work from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts. + Read and modify programs by making necessary offsets for CNC machines. + Report variations in program sequences, positioning, cycle time, etc. + Adjust machine to control part dimensions. + Inspect in-process pieces to ensure parts meet specifications or blueprints. + Edit and prove out programs to meet or exceed customer requirements. + Enter job data in the computer. + Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company policies, 5S procedures, and core values. **Essential Skills** + Machine operation + CNC setup experience + Mechanical aptitude + Mechanical assembly + Power tool usage + Wiring + Soldering **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment operating and programming CNC machines + High school diploma or equivalent is a plus + Effective communication in English and ability to work in a team environment + Knowledge of various metals and measurements used in machining processes + Ability to accurately read and comprehend moderately complex material such as blueprints, work instructions, and procedures + Basic arithmetic skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions and decimals + Ability to use a computer with clear instructions and procedures **Why Work Here?** We offer up to $100 steel-toed boots reimbursement with receipt, company outings, events, and cookouts.
