These products are used in commercial, infrastructure and industrial applications to protect people and property. Expectations: The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machines including rollers, lathes, CNC plasma and oxy-fuel cutting machines to cut metal materials to precise specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and knowledge of material thickness and cutting tolerances. The operator will also ensure equipment maintenance, troubleshoot any issues, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up and operate machines to roll, machine or cut metal materials according to blueprints and specifications. Load, unload, and position raw materials using overhead cranes or other lifting equipment. Monitor cutting operations and adjust machine settings as needed to ensure accuracy and quality of cuts. Inspect and measure finished parts to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the cutting process. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Document production activities, including material usage, cut times, and any issues encountered. Follow quality control processes to minimize waste and ensure efficient use of materials. SAFETY EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENT: The use of appropriate safety equipment, as described below, is a mandatory condition of employment and not a matter of choice. Victaulic will provide the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. The safety equipment that must be worn while performing job responsibilities includes:Hearing protectionSafety Shoes (Met-Guard Type)Tinted Face shield (as required)Safety glassesFlame Retardant clothing, such as a leather apronWelding Gloves EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENT: Good verbal and written communication skillsAble to safely operate hand and power toolsAble to read blueprintsKnowledge of how to run a lathe, roller or CNC burn table is a plus. Applicants will be required to pass a background check. Schedule: Full Time: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm and occasionally FridaysPay: $21-24 per hour Why Victaulic?
