**Job Title: Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up and operating various types of machinery, including blenders, mixers, and extruders. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to perform quality control checks, and the capability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up blenders, mixers, and extruders using base parameters assigned by management.
+ Prepare pigments and bases together for upcoming runs.
+ Record operational data on computer-controlled machinery and/or specified forms.
+ Clean and disassemble mixing and bonding equipment.
+ Prepare tooling for changeovers and perform machine changeovers.
+ Continually monitor production runs to detect defects or deviations from standards and make minor adjustments as necessary.
+ Transport finished runs or full skills to the shipping warehouse.
+ Work to continuously improve all areas of productivity and reduce scrap.
**Essential Skills**
+ Two years of machine operating experience.
+ Mechanically inclined with previous set-up machine or basic troubleshooting experience.
+ Experience performing quality control throughout the operating process.
+ Understand basic math.
+ Able to lift 50 lbs consistently.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Powder coating experience preferred.
+ Experience with blenders, mixers, and extruders is a plus.

Our facility manufactures coatings for various industries, including automotive, military, and other manufacturing sectors. The environment is fast-paced, and we value reliable, mechanically inclined individuals who can learn quickly and work independently. The facility is temperature-controlled and clean, with organized layouts and a large employee breakroom. Some areas can be dusty when mixing products.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, Illinois.
