Machine Operator
**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machine Operator for our 2nd shift. The working hours are Monday through Wednesday from 1:15pm to 11:45pm, and Thursday from 1:15pm to 11:15pm. The Machine Operator will be responsible for producing, inspecting, and preparing products according to customer specifications by operating various production machinery. **Responsibilities** + Read drawings and BOMs to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. + Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunctions. + Perform routine machine maintenance. + Position and adjust fixtures, attachments, or workpieces on the machine using hand tools and measuring devices. + Inspect metal workpieces to ensure specifications are met using measuring devices. + Set up machines and complete any other necessary tasks to meet deadlines and product completion. + Maintain housekeeping in a clear and orderly fashion in the assigned area. + Enforce quality standards and procedures, respond quickly to quality concerns, and comply with documentation requirements. + Manage time effectively and strive to contain and reduce waste. + Safely operate a pallet jack. + Comply with safety regulations, promote workplace safety, and report all unsafe acts or equipment to the Production Supervisor. + Package finished materials. + Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job as assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed. **Work Environment** This position is based in a manufacturing facility with a total of 40 employees. The dress code requires long pants (jeans or dickies) and steel-toed shoes. The job involves significant walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 45 pounds. You will need to use your hands and reach with your hands and arms frequently, and may occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. The work environment is subject to external weather conditions such as humidity, heat, or cold, and you may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and the risk of electrical shock and vibration.
