**Job Title: Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
We are looking for a dedicated General Production Worker to join our Operations Team in Southington, CT. As a bar saw operator, you will set up and safely operate saws to cut material into pieces as ordered by the customer. The role requires attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to safety.
**Responsibilities**
+ Organize work orders to efficiently process material.
+ Transport material throughout the warehouse using forklifts and cranes.
+ Set up machines by selecting appropriate nozzles, setting speeds, and feeds.
+ Measure material using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
+ Confirm source material processed is from the correct location and is the correct material.
+ Conduct first piece and in-process inspections according to quality sampling plan.
+ Stack and sort finished products for packaging.
+ Pack and protect material for shipment.
+ Clean saws according to maintenance procedures.
+ Perform additional warehouse duties as directed by supervisor.
**Essential Skills**
+ Warehouse, material handling, forklift, and experience required.
+ Previous machining or experience directly related to the duties of the position strongly preferred.
+ High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
+ History of working safely and productively.
+ Able to read and understand English to follow work instructions.
+ Basic math skills required to convert decimals and fractions and to accurately use and read tape measures and calipers.
+ Dependable, punctual, and works well with others.
+ Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience performing physical labor is preferred (manufacturing, warehouse, construction, landscaping, general labor).
+ A high level of attention to detail is required.
+ Open to cross-training and taking on any task necessary.
+ Willing to work required overtime.

**Work Environment**
Our facility is fast-paced, clean, and extremely safety-oriented. Employees are expected to dress in casual and comfortable clothes. Must be able to lift 75lbs or more. This position requires operating heavy machinery and a commitment to safety.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southington, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.54 - $27.87
