Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to operate assigned machines, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently and with high-quality standards.
ResponsibilitiesOperate assigned machines to meet production schedules and maintain efficiency and quality standards.Perform inspections and functional testing to determine the quality of parts or subassemblies.Participate in real-time quality analysis and continuous quality process improvement.Conduct root cause failure analysis on products failing functional tests.Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting for manufacturing machines and processes.Coordinate with the Maintenance team when problems or machine errors occur, providing detailed communication of issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.Perform data collection and data entry, including entering nonconforming parts, scrap, and production data into Access and Excel files at the end of each shift.Enter scrap and finished goods production information into JD Edwards throughout the assigned shift.Comply with good housekeeping practices and maintain a clean and safe work environment.Clean assigned machines as directed, and during cleanup activities, look for indications of machine problems and notify appropriate personnel of findings.Essential SkillsMinimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.Basic understanding of hand tools.Ability to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms regularly.Capability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear frequently.Occasional requirement to sit and climb or balance.Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with production, mechanical operations, and machine operation.Detail-oriented with inspection skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
