**Job Title: Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
The machine operator will setup and operate equipment that laminates, cuts, and adds adhesives to a variety of paper or plastic products. Depending on experience level, the machine operator will either start out as a setup operator or work as a machine assistant learning how to operate all of the equipment with a experienced operator.
**Responsibilities**
+ Setup equipment according to job specifications
+ Measure, weigh, and mix adhesives before adding to the machine
+ Load and unload products from machines
+ Monitor equipment and visually inspect for proper output
+ Measure down to 1/16 to complete products within specification for customers
+ Troubleshoot equipment or product issues on converting and laminating equipment

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 3+ years operating lamination or converting equipment
+ 1+ year of setup and operation of laminating and converting equipment
+ Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
+ Experience in packaging of completed work
+ Ability to operate and control coating lines safely
+ Completion of all required paperwork for each job
+ Forklift operation (preferred, but training will be provided)
+ Ability to create and critique job routings to ensure quality while maintaining desired production levels

**Work Environment**
Our facility has a family feel with around 20 people on the manufacturing floor between 1st and 2nd shift. The building is older and a little cluttered around the machines, but it is clean. It is heated in the winter, but there is no air conditioning in the summer, so it can get hot. The operations manager is understanding and flexible, but it is an all-hands-on-deck environment where consistent attendance is crucial for meeting production goals. The available shifts are 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday to Thursday, and 1st shift from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Thursday.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAINT PAUL, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
