Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operator for our 2nd shift. This is a contract-to-hire position with training provided on the 1st shift. You will be responsible for operating roll form machines, performing inventory counts, and ensuring quality inspection. The typical shift runs from 3pm to 11pm, with some variations.
ResponsibilitiesSet equipment off line for set ups, change overs, and first off inspections.Conduct first off inspections of all products run on the line.Utilize all tools used for inspection and measurement.Operate roll form machines.Drive a forklift and load trucks.Perform inventory counts.Read prints and set up instructions, including set up notes on the press.Fill out inspection reports with a high level of detail.Perform quality inspections and operate an overhead crane.Perform handwritten documentation for inspected parts.Follow lockout/tagout procedures strictly.Assist in shipping and warehouse duties.Utilize micrometers and calipers, with training provided.Apply basic and advanced math skills, including converting fractions to decimals and reading metric measurements.Work in a non-departmentalized environment where everyone is cross-trained and rotated daily.Essential SkillsAbility to read a tape measure and blueprints or work instructions.High attention to detail and documentation experience.At least 1 year of machine operating and set up experience.Willingness to work 10-hour shifts.Mechanical aptitude, including experience with tow motors and overhead cranes.Steel toe boots are required.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with micrometers and calipers.Ability to read and interpret setup instructions and setup notes.Proficiency in basic and advanced math skills.Why Work Here?

This position is located at our facility in Warren, OH. We are a Tier 2 supplier for major data centers and operate in a niche market with recession-proof stability. Our team is dynamic and growing, with significant expansion projected this year. The work environment is collaborative, and employees are cross-trained and rotated daily. We prioritize safety and quality over volume, ensuring a slower, more meticulous pace.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00
