1st shift - 6am-6pm - rotating shifts. 2 on 2 off 3 on 2 off schedule.

Job Description

As a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for processing titanium sheets through grinders to meet customer specifications. Your role involves moving skids of titanium sheets with a forklift, manually lifting and moving titanium sheets in and out of grinders, visually inspecting sheet surfaces, and using grinding tools to remove any defects. Additionally, you will use a micrometer and thickness gauge to check the thickness of titanium sheets, perform minor grinder maintenance, periodic cleaning of grinders and work area, set up machines, observe machine operations, install large belts on grinders, and train precision sheet helpers and grinder operators. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

ResponsibilitiesProcess titanium sheets through grinders to meet customer specifications.Move skids of titanium sheets with a forklift.Lift and move titanium sheets manually in and out of grinders using conveyors.Visually inspect sheet surfaces and use grinding tools to remove defects.Use a micrometer and thickness gauge (vidigauge) to check the thickness of titanium sheets.Perform minor grinder maintenance.Perform periodic cleaning of grinders and work area.Set up machines and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions.Install large belts on grinders.Train precision sheet helpers and grinder operators.Perform other duties as assigned.
